SERVICES TO PARENTS

Employing a nanny is a highly personal experience; you are looking to employ someone to look after the most precious things in your life; your children and your home. At Central Nannies we aim to find that special person for you.

We personally interview all our nannies, maternity nurses, mother’s help and babysitters and thoroughly check their references, qualifications, identity and Criminal Records Bureau details so that we can create superb matches between child, parents and carer.

Close liaison with parents is very important to us as we believe it’s the only way to ensure a good match and a strong ongoing relationship; we take personality into account as well as qualifications and special needs to make the entire process a pleasant and problem free one.

Nanny
Nannies provide childcare in your own home working in partnership with you. They will be responsible for your child’s safety and to stimulate them physically, emotionally, intellectually and socially. They are able to take sole charge and be responsible for all nursery duties in relation to the child.

Mother’s Help
Mother’s help will look after children and undertake light housework, normally working alongside the parent but possibly with some sole charge duties. They are not necessarily qualified.

Maternity Nurses
Trained or experienced nurses or nannies who specialise in the care of newborn babies. They help the mother to settle into a routine with her new baby from the time she returns home from hospital for as long as the mother requests; normally between 4 to 10 weeks, on call for 24 hours a day for 6 days a week. Maternity nurses are also available for daily or overnight positions.

Babysitters
Childsitters come to your house in the evening. If necessary they will put your children to bed and sit with them until your return. These positions are covered by nannies and mothers help.

First Aid
We ask that all of our nannies and carers have a relevant and recent paediatric first aid certificate relevant to the care of babies and young children and including training in dealing with emergencies, carrying out resuscitation and treating shock, choking and anaphylactic shock.

We believe in helping parents not only to find the perfect child carer but also to cope with the added pressure of becoming an employer; we offer a simple payroll service through www.payefornannies.co.uk/

We also like to offer ongoing useful advice; for example, did you know that Childcare Vouchers are not means tested? Many people can qualify to benefit from them to help make childcare affordable. You can also get great advice and information from the SureStart Approval Scheme (www.childcareapprovalscheme.co.uk)
